Semiconductor and AI Data Center Collaboration... Samsung, SK, Hyundai Motor, Naver Announce Major Cooperation in San Francisco

The South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT announced at the 'San Francisco AI Summit' a $95 billion initiative for semiconductor supply and production collaboration, along with a 5GW AI data center project. Key executives from Samsung, SK, Hyundai Motor, Naver, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Broadcom participated. The summit highlighted South Korea's AI capabilities and strategic partnerships, with discussions on global AI ecosystem collaboration. Six agreements were signed between South Korean firms and overseas tech giants, including semiconductor supply deals and AI data center investments. Samsung will collaborate with Broadcom on advanced memory semiconductor production and AI chip manufacturing, while SK will partner with Anthropic and NVIDIA on large-scale AI infrastructure projects.
