Six South Korea-Big Tech Agreements Signed at San Francisco AI Summit: Collaboration from Semiconductors to AX

On July 24, during the San Francisco AI Summit, South Korean companies and global tech giants signed six major technology agreements. The event saw domestic firms and global leaders finalizing concrete collaboration plans across semiconductor supply and foundry, AI data center construction, AI factories, and training applied AI engineers. President Yoon Jae-min opened the summit with the San Francisco AI Declaration, emphasizing South Korea's role as a reliable global semiconductor supply chain partner. Key executives from Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Group, Naver, NVIDIA, Broadcom, Microsoft, and Anthropic attended, including Jensen Huang, Satya Nadella, and Sam Altman. Notably, a $95 billion semiconductor supply partnership was announced, with Samsung and Broadcom collaborating on a $20 billion memory semiconductor foundry deal, while SK Hynix and NVIDIA inked a $50 billion partnership for GPU systems and advanced memory chips. SK Group also secured Anthropic's investment for its AI data center projects, and Naver expanded its DSX AI factory with NVIDIA's $1.46 billion investment.
