President Lee Announces SF AI Declaration... 'South Korea to Become Reliable AI Supply Chain Partner'

President Lee Jae-myung, touring Silicon Valley and South America, announced the San Francisco AI Declaration, outlining South Korea's vision to leapfrog as a key nation in the global AI supply chain. Emphasizing its world-class memory semiconductor capabilities, he outlined plans to grow South Korea into a global AI hub and platform through three major megaprojects. At the San Francisco AI Summit, Korean CEOs and global tech leaders like Jensen Huang, Sam Altman, and Dario Amodei joined. Lee highlighted the three megaprojects to stabilize critical infrastructure for the global AI ecosystem, shifting toward a multi-centric semiconductor production system. He stressed South Korea's goal to become a country that rapidly and effectively utilizes AI, creating a new market for global collaboration, and positioning the nation as an AI testbed and production platform. The president also emphasized AI's universal accessibility, citing South Korea's implementation of the AI Basic Act and its vision for an 'AI Basic Society' where no citizen is left behind.
