EzCareTech Enters Gartner EHR Evaluation for the First Time…Proving Global Competitiveness in Hospital Information Systems

EzCareTech, a South Korean medical IT company, has become the first non-U.S. firm and the sole domestic enterprise to be recognized in Gartner's Electronic Health Record (EHR) evaluation report. The report, part of Gartner's 2026 Enterprise Electronic Health Record Magic Quadrant, classified EzCareTech as a 'niche player' alongside global leaders like Epic, Oracle Health, and InterSystems. This marks the first time a Korean hospital information system (HIS) has met the same evaluation criteria as major global EHR providers. EHR systems now support complex hospital operations across departments and administrative tasks, requiring capabilities in regulatory compliance, clinical safety, security, interoperability, and handling large-scale hospital workflows. EzCareTech's BestCare platform integrates EHR, prescription delivery, patient administration, and clinical data management, with adaptability for hospital-specific workflows and external system connectivity. The company is transitioning to an AI-native HIS, collaborating with domestic medical AI firms to transform its legacy HIS into an AI-driven healthcare platform.
