Seven & I Holdings Suspends Investment Talks with Poland's Largest Convenience Chain Jabka

Seven & I Holdings has suspended negotiations to acquire Jabka, Poland's largest convenience chain, but maintains its focus on Europe as a growth market. The company acknowledged previous media reports of potential investment discussions, including proposals for a multi-billion yen stake. Jabka, which operates over 13,000 stores in Poland and expanded into Romania in 2.024, remains a key target as Seven & I aims to grow to 30 countries by 2030. The firm is shifting overseas strategies from licensing to full subsidiaries, addressing stock underperformance and exploring divestitures of stakes in SoftBank and PayPay to strengthen consumer services.
