KAIST-NVIDIA Develops 'Human Motion Foundation Model'

KAIST and NVIDIA have established the Human Physical AI NVAITC center to develop a 'human motion foundation model' combining KAIST's human-centric robotics data with NVIDIA's AI technology and global research networks. The collaboration aims to create next-generation physical AI technologies, expanding into wearable robotics, humanoids, digital twins, and manufacturing. Joint research will be managed by a committee with Prof. Jin-Young Jeong and Prof. Kyung-Chul Kong as co-directors. NVIDIA's team is expected to consist of 5-6 researchers, while a student ambassador program will connect students with NVIDIA experts for projects focused on Omniverse and digital twin technologies.
