LG Electronics' Coolant Distribution Device Secures NVIDIA Quality Certification as Domestic First

LG Electronics has launched into the global market with AI data center liquid cooling solutions, securing NVIDIA's quality certification for its 600kW Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) as the first domestic company to achieve this. The CDU, a cold plate system that circulates coolant to absorb chip heat, addresses rising server rack temperatures driven by high-bandwidth memory and high-performance GPUs. Features include ±0.25°C temperature control, virtual sensors, leak detection, and integration with data center management systems. NVIDIA testing confirmed seamless cooling continuity via redundant components. LG plans to expand NVIDIA certification across its CDU lineup, capitalizing on the global AI data center market's projected 26% annual growth. The company is expanding its 'chip-to-chiller' total solution portfolio, including CDU supply for AI data center projects and partnerships with hyperscalers.
