China DUV Chipmaking: How Machine Advances Could Reduce Reliance on ASML, Nvidia

China’s semiconductor industry may have achieved a breakthrough in building chipmaking machines that have long been dominated by the Netherlands’ ASML Holding NV. A state-backed firm in Shanghai has found a way to make so-called immersion deep ultraviolet lithography tools that are capable of manufacturing the most widely used chips, according to the Information.
