Samsung Electronics Strengthens Health Services with Galaxy Watch and Samsung Health
Samsung Health is reorganizing its focus to five key areas: sleep, activity, diet, mental health, and biometrics. The Galaxy Watch 9, set for July release, will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, which includes a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of 10 tera operations per second (TOPS). This enables on-device AI processing, enhancing smartwatches' capabilities. Samsung Health now emphasizes biometrics, heart health scores, daily aerobic load, physical fitness indexes, and hearing assessments. The company is strengthening collaborations with healthcare professionals to provide actionable insights, helping users monitor and improve health habits. Samsung's digital health team highlights the integration of AI-driven insights from Galaxy Watch data, aiming to deliver personalized health management within its ecosystem.
