SoftLab and Samjin KPMG Host IFRS 18 Compliance Seminar on the 12th

Enterprise solutions specialist SoftLab will host a seminar on the 12th at El Tower in Seoul's Yangjae-dong with Samjin KPMG, detailing strategies and a roadmap for complying with IFRS 18, the international accounting standard effective from 2027. IFRS 18 standardizes operating profit calculations by segregating the income statement into operating, investing, and financing activities, while enhancing financial reporting requirements such as disclosure of management-defined performance measures (MPMs) and intermediate totals. Companies are expected to adjust their financial systems as these reporting standards become mandatory, requiring pre-implementation reviews of financial processes and IT systems. The seminar will feature expert explanations of IFRS 18's key changes and implementation considerations, with SoftLab presenting an ERP-based compliance plan. SoftLab's Vice President Park Yun-kyung emphasized that IFRS 18 represents a transformative shift impacting financial management and decision-making frameworks, aiming to equip clients with actionable insights for adapting to the new accounting environment.
