Lucid Unveils Patent Images for 'Cosmos'... Targeting Model Y

Lucid has released patent images for its upcoming mid-size electric SUV, Cosmos, set for mass production by year-end. According to InsideEVs, the designs registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office reveal Lucid's next-generation electric SUV styling. Priced around $50,000, Cosmos targets Tesla Model Y and Rivian R2, with production starting in Saudi Arabia this year and expanding to Arizona by 2024. The design features a scaled-down version of Lucid's large SUV Gravity, with aerodynamic bodywork, sloped roofline, and digital room mirrors. Lucid estimates a 0.22 Cd drag coefficient and 483km range per charge, with 14-minute 800V fast charging and V2H/V2G capabilities. The interior includes a single large dashboard display for autonomous driving support, with plans for robotaxi use via Uber collaboration.
